Cheese Burger – Mathias

Burgers are my all time favorite food. A homemade juicy burger makes it 20x better. A solid cheese burger with lettuce, tomatoes, and ketchup is the best things on this planet.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 ground beef (anything from 80/20 to 90/10)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1-2 tomato slices
  • 1-3 iceberg lettuce leaves
  • 1-2 slices American cheese
  • Ketchup
  • Mustard

Instructions

  • Form beef into a patty that is a little bigger than your bun’
  • Make sure the middle is thinner than the edges. The meat will shrink as it cooks, this will help it be the same thickness when its done.
  • Cook time depends on how thick you make your patty, how hot your grill is, and if you like pink in the middle.
  • Our burgers were about an inch thick. We cooked on a medium heat for about 5 minutes on each side and had a tiny bit of pink.
  • Place your cheese on top of your burger for the last minute to let the cheese melt. At the same time butter your buns and set them on the grill to get a little toasty.
  • Build your burger with the other ingredients and enjoy.

Trying

These burger are juicy, cheese, and tomatoey…tomatoie…I don’t know. All I know is these burgers are good.
