Making
Here is the link Mathias’s teriyaki chicken video: https://youtu.be/OrxyyPaGmEE
Ingredients
- 2 pieces of chicken (we used breast, thighs will be a more moist… moister… the moistest… you know what I mean, it’s what you like)
- Teriyaki sauce – as much as you like
- 1-2 tbls canola oil
- 2-3 green onions chopped
Instructions
- Pound out the chicken to an even thickness, this helps it to cook evenly.
- If you put some oil in a bag with the chicken, it helps to keep the kitchen clean.
- Heat a pan with a couple table spoons of oil in it.
- Add the chicken when the oil is hot, this will help get a crust, don’t cover like I did in the video.
- Cook for 3 minutes on each side. This time will vary depending on how thick you pounded your chicken.
- Remove the chicken from pan and deglaze the pan with a table spoon of oil and your teriyaki sauce.
- Add the chicken back in and turn and move around as the sauce is thickening. This will get your chicken coated with sauce.
- When it looks as thick as you like it, remove the chicken and let rest for a few minutes. My dad didn’t let it rest, he just ate a piece while I was finishing the video.
- Top with the chopped green onions.
Trying
Turns out he didn’t eat just one piece, he ate the whole thing and left me with one to finish the video. That is proof that it is good. If you’re sane that it is.
